Frozen In Time

I looked upon the beauty of the rose,
laying there, on the ground, so elegant, in quiet repose.
Enjoying the dreamy vision here before me,
wanting to share this image for others to be able to see.

Reaching down to the snow frozen ground,
ever so gently picking up this lovely flower I had found.
Strangely, it did not feel cold to my hand,
and I wondered was this something I could understand.

A natural beauty frozen in time eternally,
placed there by God’s loving hands for everyone to see.
Carefully carrying this wonderful treasure,
not aware of the true meaning could I start to measure.

Every flower placed here by His design,
bringing back memories as their scent enters our mind.
Natures wonders created by God’s hand,
from a marvelous palette unavailable to any living man.

An array of colors, fragrances and seasons,
each to become appreciated for many different reasons.
Roses given to friends and those we love,
Easter lilies placed on a table to honor our Savior above.

Carnations to relay, I'll never forget you,
a lovely bouquet to cheer someone who is feeling blue.
So many varieties to help occasionally say,
we are thinking of them and hope they have a nice day.

When I finally got home and was able,
I laid the beautiful rose carefully upon a nearby table.
A familiar smell drifted up to my nose,
and nothing could compare to the odor from that rose.

If you ever feel frozen in time too,
don't give up, God will be there to see you through.
Always remember the rose in the snow,
keep your hope and faith alive; don't ever let them go.
