Peaceful Waters

I search to find the contentment of a quiet place,
fresh and serene.
Looking at the skies overhead which are colored a
beautiful aquamarine.

Not one single cloud, in sight, in the sky anywhere
I might look.
Hearing now again the pleasurable sounds signaling
a nearby brook.

The birds are singing joyously yet another cheerful
sweet melody.
Quite leisurely strolls in a lush green forest waiting
ahead for me.

Dreamy visions of a waterfall captivate every single
part of me,
Cascading down the rocky mountain side totally and
completely free.

As a fresh breeze blows the waterfall mist so softly
into my face,
A pleasurable moment to pause and be refreshed in
this wondrous place.

Wild flowers covering the ground everywhere that
I might glance,
Their sweet fragrance permeates the air putting me
in a trance.

Needed rains from the skies overhead to replenish
the dry earth,
Depended on by many different things it's hard to
measure its worth.

Thoughts remembered of the many visits to every
ocean shore,
Visions return of all the lovely waves, their beauty
hard to ignore.

The tears flow freely, sometimes, from somewhere
deep inside,
A cleansing of my soul, of sorrow or happiness, not
to be denied.

Wherever I can find the peaceful waters, is where I
want to be,
Because when the beautiful waters flow it sets my
spirit free.
