I
sometimes marvel at the complexity,
when I
look out my window at the things I can
see.
What causes lightning and
thunder,
the combination of these two things
make me wonder.
Thunderstorms pass by us
overhead,
recognizing its familiar warnings
fills us with dread.
Singular, in clusters or
in lines,
these are names of the different
and dangerous kinds.
Typically fifteen
miles in diameter,
meteorologists determine a
thunderstorms parameter.
Tornadoes, strong
winds and rain,
sometimes lasting only thirty
minutes, flooding a plain.
Dark clouds
signal a thunderstorm is near,
but with no
actual warning the devastation will be
severe.
Other times arriving without any
sign,
the destruction thunderstorms cause is
hard to define.
Suddenly a lightning bolt
fills the sky,
a buildup of negative and
positive charges, the reason why.
50,000
degrees Fahrenheit reached instantly,
where
lightning will strike next there is never a
guarantee.
Thunder sounds resemble a
grumble,
deep and low, you can almost feel
the whole earth rumble.
Rapid heating and
cooling of the air,
causes a shock wave of
thunder, warning you to be
aware.
Thunderstorms and lightning
together,
a natural occurring phenomenon of
our changing weather.
Tall trees suddenly
tumbling down,
things blown dangerously about
which are on the ground.
If outside is
where you happen to be,
you are not safe
while golfing or if standing under a
tree.
Take needed caution wherever you
are,
be watchful for flooded roadways while
driving your car.
The weather station
provides tips for you,
helpful so everyone
will safely see it all the way through.
Pay
attention to the latest weather,
make sure
pets and everyone in your family stays
together.
If and when you are faced with
adversity,
planning well ahead with each
available possible diversity.
While
thunderstorms and lightning appear,
brighter
days are ahead when all the dark clouds
disappear.
