I woke up early this morning completely
down and forlorn. Without any place now to
live, my clothing tattered and
torn.
Nobody to keep me
company, family and friends are all
gone. Days all filled with
loneliness, questioning why I continue
on.
Completely broke, no money, not
even a job for me to go to. What happens to
the homeless, what are we all suppose to
do.
People traveling by me
staring, ignoring my begging for
work. Every car passes very quickly, lips
move in a knowing smirk.
Walking away
from the corner, wondering when I walk
away. Should I come back tomorrow, waiting
patiently day after day.
I wandered deep
into the forest, hard times for this weary
mind. Finding there a bubbling brook, a
quiet place to maybe unwind.
Thinking
back about memories, faded and thought
forever gone. Remembering lessons long
ago, how to rise again and be
strong.
I turned my face to the
heavens, wanting answers from up
above. Then a glorious sight to
behold, flying there a single white
dove.
God will always answer
prayer, but His message you must heed. Be
there for all of your brothers, assisting
people you see in need.
People are
hurting and all alone, ones we do not really
want to see. Our attitudes need changing
now, this could happen to you or to
me.
