Broken Trust
When just a little girl there
were things I did not know.
But as I kept growing older,
everyone would soon show.

Innocence lost very young,
a shame for everyone to see.
Completely breaking rules,
taking away all our dignity.

Role models forever gone,
who now should kids trust.
How were we to trust them,
we were filled with disgust.

Names spread in the paper,
reporting all sorts of things.
Didn’t they realize some of
the unhappiness evil brings.

The things being written in
the papers were so very bad.
Causing all countries hearts,
young and old to grow sad.

Who to go and talk to when
kids are feeling really down.
Parents wonder who to trust,
their children can be around.

Broken trust from the many
people as children we knew.
The ones who were always,
heroes there for me and you.
