Lord, please help me to continue on,
Give me courage I need to stay strong.
How I yearn for peace and tranquility,
To have my spirit once again soar free.

Words in the bible of turning a cheek,
But Lord I find at times I am so weak.
Talking of God’s love and spirituality,
Society sounds very differently to me.

I keep remembering when I am so low,
There is really only one place I can go.
Spending the time Lord praying to you,
About all the tribulations I go through.

Please, Lord come sit here and lets talk,
We can go down by the river for a walk.
Lord, please lift these spirits up so high,
Bring me to your loving arms in the sky.

Lord, will you explain to me once again,
Why it is I am to remain without a friend.
I see you want my course to stay steady,
So I can remain forever spiritually ready.

Lord, I gladly serve you for all of my life,
No matter how my life is filled with strife.
You are faithfully always here to help me,
To soon know peace and pure tranquility.

Sometimes the tears flow down my cheek,
At other times completely unable to speak.
Satisfied to know I am doing the best I can,
To carry forth Lord, your original life plan.
