Walking through my life beside you,
Has been something wonderful to do.
Your arm placed around me carefully,
Keeping me safe, doing it so lovingly.

Enjoying the roads we traveled down,
Whether in the city or some small town.
Always sure one thing of which I knew,
Your love would surely see us through.

Explaining things I did not understand,
Reminding me of God’s original plan.
Not be distracted by what was going on,
To be ready in spirit when called upon.

Thinking back on all the years together,
Clear days interrupted by stormy weather.
Spread out seemingly across all the years,
Balanced evenly with laughter and tears.

A loving journey together we both knew,
Faithfully always there on every avenue.
Off to the beach or walking around town,
Right beside us true love could be found.

Two hearts brought together as if one,
Walking through life but still having fun.
Deep faith and love always meant to be,
God wanted it strong to last for eternity.

Please, gently take my hand once again,
Walk always beside me as my best friend.
I will remain forever your lover and wife,
Thanking God again for our walk of life.
