Close your eyes and listen to the music,
Let it take you away.
Forget your worries for just a while,
And try to enjoy your day.

Do you really hear the words?
Do you hear what they have to say?
Every song has a story to tell,
But each in it’s own way.

Some songs have no words at all,
Just soothing music to listen to.
Giving you a peaceful moment,
Which is what they were meant to do.

So please just listen to the music,
And let each one do it's part.
Every song is bringing a message,
Straight to the heart.

Listen to the words of the song,
And you will soon become aware.
Some songs tell of love lost or found,
Some of hope or despair.

Other songs will make you cry for joy,
On your loved one’s wedding day.
And some are meant for romance,
Or to tell us of places far away.

We have so many songs of celebration,
For all of our different holidays.
Songs where we can express our feelings,
In so many different ways.

Singing along with friends we know,
At a birthday for someone dear.
Special music too at other times,
Bringing us all such cheer.


The beauty of a piano or a guitar,
Playing a lovely melody.
Or just the wonderful sound of a group,
Of people singing in harmony.

So stop for a moment and listen,
To the music and you too soon will see,
Music was meant to warm your heart,
And to set your spirit free.
