There is a special garden which no one else can see,
it is the garden in my heart carefully taken care of by me.
Many people I love are kept in this garden in my heart,
and I try my best to make certain to keep them all apart.
No weeds grow inside this wonderful garden of mine,
and is sprinkled daily with plenty of love and sunshine.
I have a pretty section reserved for all of my friends,
this one seems to just keep growing and has no end.
I have three others that are very different though,
for some of the very special people I love and know.
There is a big one for God, it is right over there,
trust me He knows how much I will always care.
The one right next to it is my husband you see,
the brown eyed one God sent to watch over me.
One for my son, right next to his Dad,
who fills my heart with joy when he is not sad.
I love to take care of my garden and watch it grow,
filled with all the wonderful people I know.
I love to see them all laugh and smile,
to see them at peace if only for a little while.
What do I sprinkle in my garden to keep it going?
I try my best to listen which I have a knack of knowing.
Sympathy, understanding and a sense of humor too,
everything I can think of to help them get through.
So many beautiful flowers in my garden to see,
representing all of these people so special to me.
If you can find the time you might want to start.
your own little garden in your heart.
