God, Can We Talk?

God, can we talk for a minute or two,
There are questions I need to ask of you.
“What is to become of this child of mine,
The sensitive one with blue eyes that shine?”

“Do not worry my child he will be fine,
He has me to love him until the end of time.”
“He will have his moments just as you,
And I will be here to help him get through.”

“God, what of the woman who is to be his wife,
Will she be with him for the rest of his life?”

“No, but do not ever feel my choice was wrong."
"She is a beautiful woman soft but strong.
She will stand by him for as long as she can,
But she must move on and will marry again.”
“For your child there will also be another,
A beautiful woman too a lot like his mother.”

“And God, what about grandchildren,
How many will there be?”

“The answer, my child, is there shall be three.
The three I give you, will love you forever.
Plenty of hugs and kisses an ample supply,
Delighting you always on this you can rely.”

“Now, my child, I must say goodnight.
I’ll see you tomorrow at mornings first light.”
